And bought a key chain there.

Thou I've not seen the Cat exhibit ... will come back some other day ... because today there are more "important" things to do -> SHOPPING!!!

We hit Oxford street at 1pm and these are my purchases ...

A little camisole to wear at home. Thot london is always cold and only brought long sleeve shirts

A pair of brown boots from Clarks - quite pricy but its comfortable and should last for the year.

And a bag to big enough to hold my packed lunch, umbrella, novel, iPod and the usual suspects.

First week sightseeing in London

Our first stop is Harrods at Knightsbridge

And then off to do some marketing at Portobella market. This is a huge market selling antiques, clothings, food and almost everything. Could spend a whole day there.

Our next stop was the London Eye and Big Ben

And Kensington Palace which is just opposite the Palace Court Apartment where we stayed during the 1st week.

Waiting for the changing of guards outside Buckingham Palace

Covent Gardens

Enough of the shopping - something for the culturely inclined - the National Art Gallery

Our studio apartment at Clayponds Village

After 3 trips to Ikea, we are almost done settling into this little apartment of ours at Clayponds Village. This is an Imperial College's student accomodation for post-graduate students at South Ealing. Althou it is small, it is well equipped and quite new by London standard.

This is my chill-out area. UK only has 5 broadcast channels. But we got a freeview box which gives us unlimited "Friends", "Lost", "Desperate Housewives"... repeats.

This is our dining cum Wai Meng's study area.

And this is of course our stoning zone + cupboards

The kitchen is actually quite a good size with electic cooker and oven. Eating out in London is very expensive, easily five pounds per person for some dry sandwiches. So we make most of our meals at home. See the very well equipped kitchen with all the sauces after just 2 weeks.

the bathroom - very good hot water supply, very thankful after our initial 2 weeks at the budget stay apartment in Nottinghill.
